ELG + Ytre Suløens Jass-ensemble

Since the 1970s, Suløen has been one of the country's most popular traditional jazz bands, performing almost every year at Moldejazz, in modern times with their charismatic vocalist Tricia Boutté at the forefront. Now, the band takes over Molde Cathedral for a spectacular concert, offering a unique musical encounter with Øivind "ELG" Elgenes from Dance with a Stranger. This will be an evening where traditional jazz merges with rock and soul in a way you've never heard before!

YSJE quickly gained recognition, was invited to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, played at festivals and clubs across Europe, and became a popular attraction. The lineup has changed since its inception in 1973, but the unmistakable Suløen sound remains strong, driven by Tricia Boutté from New Orleans.

Moldejazz 2025 presents an exclusive fusion of musical worlds as Ytre Suløens Jass-Ensemble joins forces with Øivind "ELG" Elgenes. With his distinctive, soulful voice and a career spanning from rock to folk music, ELG will add an extra dimension to the concert. The collaboration is based on his critically acclaimed album The Way Life Goes, promising the audience an unforgettable journey through rhythms, moods, and musical magic. This will be a concert experience to remember!
