Emma Steinbakken | Dina Ögon | TBA
The Norwegian artist Emma Steinbakken burst onto the scene in 2019 with her debut hit Not Gonna Cry and has since become one of Norway's biggest pop stars. Despite her young age, she has already established herself as an accomplished artist, selling out and performing on all the major stages in Norway, including two nights at Rockefeller and Spektrum. We are thrilled to welcome her to Molde during the festival!
At Moldejazz 2025, she will take the stage with her top-notch band, promising a performance of exceptional class and quality. Many know Steinbakken from the series Rådebank, where her song Jeg Glemmer deg aldri (I’ll Never Forget You) became a standout, as well as from Hver Gang Vi Møtes (Every Time We Meet), where her rendition of Bjørn Eidsvåg’s Floden captivated audiences.
In 2023, Steinbakken won the Spellemann Awards for Breakthrough of the Year and Song of the Year. She has also opened for international stars like Zara Larsson and Imagine Dragons and was the most-streamed artist on Norwegian radio that year.
Steinbakken is renowned for her stage presence, charisma, and connection with the audience. This will surely be a spectacular summer evening at Romsdalsmuseet in July!
Dina Ögon
The Swedish band Dina Ögon is coming to Moldejazz 2025! A blend of Swedish archipelago vibes, pop, R&B, soul, and a generous dose of summer magic!
Dina Ögon is the festival band everyone is talking about, and a favorite of global artists like Tyler, The Creator, who included them on his year-end best list! They have made a big impact in Norway and Scandinavia in recent years with consistently sold-out concerts. This ensemble was formed at the tail end of the pandemic, driven by a desire to play great music together with no gimmicks on stage—just guitar, vocals, drums, and bass. Their music is cool, laid-back, and perfect for a summer evening at the Romsdal Museum!
The band features a strong quartet of active musicians, each involved in various other projects. The lineup includes Anna Ahnlund on vocals, Daniel Ögren on guitar, Love Örsan on bass, and Christopher Cantillo on drums. Cantillo also collaborates on a jazz project with Fredrik Ljungkvist, well-known to many Norwegians from the band Atomic, and worth checking out (Miljonprosjektet).
Dina Ögon recently released their third album, which received widespread critical acclaim. In 2024, the band made a major sweep at the Swedish Grammis Awards, winning Album of the Year and Alternative Pop Album of the Year.
If you’ve been longing for the sound of Monica Zetterlund and songs like Att angöra en brygga or Monicas vals, you’ll be transported by Anna Ahnlund’s stunning and crystal-clear vocals.
Dina Ögon has masterfully created their own unique sound with clear nods to beloved musical styles. Expect Scandinavian craftsmanship at its finest, featuring irresistible gems! Their music draws elements from hip-hop, jazz, beats, and the Isley Brothers, as well as disco, soul, and Motown. Could we ask for more?
Look forward to tracks like Tombola 94, Mormor, and Det Läcker!
