Two spectacular announcements for the jazz enthusiast
Best Western Swing featuring Bjørn Tomren, Stian Carstensen, and Ola Kvernberg sold out in record time. Now, an extra concert is being added. In addition, we can look forward to a grand visit from the legendary Hot Club de Norvège and the charismatic Majken Christiansen at Storyville.
Best Western Swing with Bjørn Tomren, Stian Carstensen, and Ola Kvernberg

Many were left disappointed when the concert with Stjernekamp winner Bjørn Tomren and Best Western Swing was marked as "sold out." Now, tickets are being released for an additional show. Get ready for a unique experience with vocal Americana classics, instrumental lactic acid tunes, throat singing, yodeling, and much more. Here, musicians unite in their love for Western swing, horse jazz, baa-bop, and other rural expressions of jazz-infused dance music from the American South.
BWS (by no means orthodox museum guardians) is led by Asle Røe, originally from Otrøya in Molde municipality, but with twelve years as a professional guitarist in Houston, Texas. The lineup includes 60% of Farmers Market: Stian Carstensen on steel guitar and accordion, Finn Guttormsen on bass, and Jarle Vespestad on drums, along with guitarist Staffan William-Olsson from The Real Thing. Total number of strings: 36.
Hot Club de Norvège + Majken Christiansen

A swinging jazz experience awaits when the legendary Hot Club de Norvège and singer Majken Christiansen, the Nordic region’s leading Ella Fitzgerald interpreter, take the stage at Storyville. Majken is more than a vocalist—she’s a top-tier storyteller and entertainer who can transform any concert into a memorable event.
The magical musical chemistry between Majken and Hot Club de Norvège first sparked at the Django Festival, and now the Moldejazz audience will get to witness it for themselves.
