Old news by now: Hauge, Moan, Eberson
Ragnhild Moan, Marte Eberson, and Liv Andrea Hauge are three essential names on the Norwegian jazz scene. As defining musicians actively engaged in various projects and expressions, their collaboration as OLD NEWS BY NOW is a true creative explosion!
When Liv Andrea Hauge was asked to create a new project for Moldejazz 2025, she was given free rein and invited two of her favorite musicians. The result promises to be a blend of synths, electronics, and vocals – and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve conjured up! They describe the band as a space where all ideas and impulses are welcome, creating hits that never break through, pop songs with too long synth solos, and jazz tracks with catchy toplines.
Ragnhild Moan is known from projects such as Han gaiden and Ragnhild, and is a vocalist with an enormous presence and communication skills. Marte Eberson is known from collaborations with Hedvig Mollestad, Ane Brun and with her father Jon Eberson as well as her own solo project. She always has a raw energy on stage, with her signature synth setup with her pink sparkly vintage vibe. Liv Andrea Hauge has played mostly with projects in her own name in recent years.
