ACCESSIBILITY

  • Special wheelchair tickets are sold for all events.

Contact us at salg@moldejazz.no / +47 71 20 31 50 with questions.
Arrive early if you need assistance and contact our hosts at the venue. We do not have sign language interpreters at our events.
Companion: Holders of an approved companion card from their municipality can purchase 1 companion ticket per concert. Valid companion cards must be presented at the entrance.
Companion tickets can be purchased for all our events. Our hosts at the venues are happy to assist in guiding you to your seat and explaining the easiest way to the toilet, bar, and other facilities. Unfortunately, we cannot assist with toilet needs etc.
Also, please contact our hosts if you arrive in your own wheelchair and wish to sit in it. Many of our venues have their own wheelchair accessible spaces, and there are a limited number of seats in a normal seating arrangement. We try to find good solutions beyond this as far as possible if we know about it in advance.

Romsdalsmuseet: HC parking and entrance at the area by Gildehallen. Easy access and good accessibility on the arena on gravel roads. Special wheelchair stand with a good view and roof. HC toilet at the entrance. Hosts assist at and near the stand, contact them if needed. Wheelchairs with companions are prioritized on the stand itself if it is full. It is possible to sit in a wheelchair next to and around the stand if desired. Only wheelchairs are allowed on the arena, and there are restrictions in front of the stage.

Kikkans Hall (Not in use in 2024): Ramps from the sidewalk into the tent, and inside the tent. HC toilet available. Contact the hosts on-site for questions, assistance, and help up the ramp.

Molde Cathedral: Access via ramp into the church right by the main entrance. Separate HC toilet in the porch. Wheelchair spaces at the ends of the rows of seats and on the sides.

Bjørnsonhuset: Adapted with HC seating, elevator to the gallery (no wheelchair spaces in the gallery), and separate HC toilet. No thresholds. Please inform us if you wish to use your own wheelchair.

Teatret Vårt: Separate HC seating, elevator, separate HC toilet. No thresholds. Ask the hosts for information about the hearing loop.

Storyville: Adapted, both from the outside and inside the elevator. Separate HC toilet in the foyer.

Alexandraparken: Separate HC entrance on the west side at quay level (slight downhill slope from the main street). Separate HC toilet available, contact the hosts for access. Flat, asphalted area in the concert and bar tent, but some thresholds in the form of cable gates. Less accessibility inside the upper park area.

Reknesparken: Less accessible terrain for wheelchair users, relatively steep gravel road leading up to an amphitheater. Feasible with electric wheelchairs for outdoor use or pushing assistance in a manual chair. Separate places for HC on the sides of the amphitheater. HC toilet NOT available.

The main Street: Easy access. HC toilet available in the center at the Town Hall, Moldetorget shopping center, and hotels.

Council Hall (Not in use in 2024): Partially adapted. There is an elevator from the backyard, must go up a ramp on the 2nd floor.
